A duo booking is the fantasy a lot of people never quite say out loud: two companions, together, for one booking. It is a real and popular kind of booking, offered by companions who enjoy working as a pair, and it has its own conventions that are different from booking one companion twice. This guide explains how duo bookings work, how to book one, what it usually costs, what the time actually feels like, and how to be the kind of client a pair is happy to see again.

What a duo booking is

A duo booking is two companions booked together for the same time, in the same room, with you. That is the whole definition. What happens within it depends entirely on the two companions and what they offer, which is why reading both profiles matters.

Duo bookings come in different flavours:

  • The playful duo. Two companions who are close friends, enjoy each other's company and love the energy of a booking for three. This is what most people picture.
  • The social duo. Two companions for dinner, drinks or an event, with the evening's private part shaped by what each of them offers.
  • The duo for couples. Some pairs see couples, which makes a booking for four. That is a specialist booking; ask directly.

Duo bookings are not the same as a couples booking, where a couple books one companion. If that is what you are planning, read our guide to booking a companion as a couple instead.

How duo pairs work

The best duo bookings are with pairs who already work together. They know each other's boundaries, they have a rhythm, they trust each other, and that comfort is what makes the booking feel easy rather than awkward. Many companions who offer duos name the people they work with in their bio, so you can look up the other profile and read it too.

Why this matters to you:

  • Chemistry is real. Two people who like each other are fun to be around. Two strangers put together for the night are polite.
  • Their boundaries are already agreed. They have worked out between themselves what each does and does not offer. You do not have to negotiate two sets of lines.
  • Safety. Working as a pair is part of how many companions stay safe, and they would rather do it with someone they trust.

What you should not do is try to assemble your own pair from two companions who have never met. Some will agree; many will not. Ask the companion you like who she works with, and book that pair.

On LuXeel, companions who offer duos list under the Duo Bookings category, and their bios usually say who they work with and what a duo with them is like.

How to book a duo

Duo bookings are booked through one of the pair, and the pair sets the terms together.

  1. Read both profiles. Make sure you are comfortable with both companions, their rates, their boundaries and their screening. A duo is not one companion you like plus a stranger.
  2. Contact one of them. Usually the one whose profile you found, or whichever the pair has said handles their bookings. Mention that you would like to book her as a duo, and with whom if her profile lists a partner.
  3. Give the usual details. Day, time, length, incall or outcall, and your screening information. The first-timer's guide has the template.
  4. Let them confirm. She will check with her partner, then reply with the terms: rate, deposit, where, and anything else they need. Screening applies, and the deposit usually covers both.
  5. Book ahead. Two diaries have to line up. Duo bookings are rarely a same-night thing.

A short first message might read:

What a duo booking costs

Expect to pay for two people's time. Most commonly that means both companions' rates combined, though some pairs quote a single duo rate. Duo bookings often have a minimum length, frequently longer than a single booking, because two hours is the sweet spot for a booking with three people in it.

What to expectTypical approach
RateUsually both companions' rates, sometimes a set duo rate
Minimum lengthOften longer than a solo booking
DepositUsually covers both, paid how the pair asks
ExtrasRoom, drinks, dinner if it is a social duo

Rates vary a great deal between cities and companions; our costs guide has the general ranges. Do not try to haggle a "discount for two". The rate is the rate.

What a duo booking feels like

The first thing people notice is the energy. Two companions who enjoy each other bring a looseness to the room: they tease each other, they laugh, they include you in jokes you were not expecting. The pace is usually theirs. A good pair leads, so you do not have to direct anything, and they read each other as well as they read you.

Most duo bookings start the way any good booking does, with a drink and conversation, and the warmth builds from there. What happens in private is what the two of them offer, at a pace that suits all three of you; it is less of a performance than people imagine, and more of a shared, playful evening. A two-hour duo booking has room for laughing, for slowing down, and for a proper wind-down at the end.

The second thing people notice is that attention is shared, not doubled. You are not the audience at a show; you are one of three people in the room, and the best bookings feel that way.

Duo etiquette

Duo bookings reward the same good manners as any booking (our etiquette guide covers the basics), plus a few of their own:

  • Treat them equally. Do not play favourites, compare them, or pay one noticeably more attention than the other. It is the fastest way to make a duo awkward.
  • Never try to split them. Do not ask one to come back without the other, or message one about the other. They talk.
  • Respect each of them separately. Something one offers, the other may not. Their combined boundaries are the limit.
  • Pay as asked. Often in two envelopes, sometimes one. Ask when you book, then have it ready at the start.
  • Get the room right. A big bed, enough space, drinks for three, two clean towels each.
  • Keep the drinking light. Two companions keeping an eye on one drunk client is nobody's idea of fun.
  • Watch the time. Two people's evenings are on the line. End on time, gracefully.

Duo booking vs couple's booking

They sound similar and they are opposites:

A note on the law

Two companions working together is lawful in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory, where sex work is decriminalised. In Tasmania, a person working alone is lawful but working with another worker is an offence, and in South Australia and Western Australia sex work remains criminalised. Duo availability therefore varies by state. Our state-by-state guide has the detail; check the current position where you are.

Common questions

How much does a duo booking cost? Usually both companions' rates combined, sometimes a set duo rate, and often with a longer minimum booking. Each pair sets its own terms.

Can I choose any two companions? You can ask, but the best duo bookings are with pairs who already work together. Ask the companion you like who her duo partners are.

Who do I contact for a duo booking? One of the pair, usually the one whose profile you found. She will check with her partner and reply with the terms.

Do both companions have the same boundaries? Not necessarily. Each has her own, and the booking works within both. Read both profiles, and ask once if something matters to you.

Is a duo booking the same as a threesome? It is one kind of threesome: two companions and one client. A couple booking one companion is the other kind, with its own etiquette.

Can a couple book a duo? Some pairs see couples. It is a specialist booking, so ask directly and expect it to be priced accordingly.
