Companion profiles and adult directories have a language of their own, and most of it is never explained. PSE, GFE, incall, outcall, touring, duo, "available now": if you have ever quietly googled one of these terms before sending a booking enquiry, this glossary is for you. It explains every term you are likely to meet in plain words, what each one does and does not mean, and why on LuXeel companions describe what they offer in their own words rather than in code.

Booking types

GFE (girlfriend experience)

A style of booking built around warmth, conversation and affection, so that the time feels like time with a partner. It describes a feel, not a fixed list of acts, and each companion draws her own lines. We have a whole guide on it: what is the girlfriend experience.

PSE (porn-star experience)

PSE is the opposite end of the spectrum from GFE. Where GFE is slow and intimate, PSE is bold, playful, adventurous and a little theatrical: the confident, uninhibited energy people associate with adult film, rather than the quiet closeness of a date. Companions who offer it usually enjoy a more energetic, more performative booking, and they often price it higher.

What PSE does not mean:

  • It does not mean anything goes. Her boundaries apply exactly as they would in any other booking.
  • It does not mean unprotected. Her health rules are not part of the style.
  • It does not mean a camera. Filming or photos are never assumed, and need her explicit agreement in advance.
  • It does not mean every companion offers it. Many do not, and that is the end of the conversation.

If you are curious, look for companions who mention it in their bio, and ask once, politely, what a PSE booking with her is like.

Duo

Two companions booked together for the same time. The best duos are pairs who already work together and list each other as duo partners. See duo bookings: what to expect.

Couples booking

A couple booking one companion together, often for a first threesome. Different etiquette, different conversation at home first. See booking a companion as a couple.

Dinner date

An evening booking, usually three to five hours, that starts somewhere public and ends in private.

Overnight and extended

An overnight is usually twelve to fourteen hours and includes real sleep. Extended covers anything longer than a few hours: a day, a weekend. See overnight and weekend bookings.

Travel companion

A companion who joins you on a trip, for days at a time. Usually only offered to clients she has seen before.

Where and when you meet

Incall and outcall

Incall means you go to her: her apartment, a private studio, or a hotel room she has booked. Outcall means she comes to you: your home or your hotel. Outcalls often cost more to cover her travel, and many companions only do outcalls to hotels, not private homes. Some do both; the profile will say.

Touring

A touring companion is visiting a city that is not her home base, usually for a few days. Touring dates fill up quickly, so booking ahead is the norm. Some companions post their upcoming tour dates; others announce them a week or two before.

Available now

A companion who is free today or tonight, for short-notice bookings. On LuXeel, creators can switch on "On tonight" until 6am in their city, and Tonight shows who is on and what is open. Short notice is not the same as no screening: she will still ask for the usual details.

FIFO-friendly

Fly-in, fly-out work means long rosters away and a few days back in town. Companions who call themselves FIFO-friendly are happy to work around that: booking ahead for your days off, or fitting you in when you land. Usage varies, so treat it as a friendly signal and confirm the details when you book.

Booking admin

Screening

The checks a companion does before confirming a booking: often your real first name, a phone number, sometimes a reference from another companion or a quick verification step. It protects her, and a companion who screens carefully is usually careful about everything else too. Every companion sets her own screening.

Deposit

Part of the fee paid in advance to hold the time. Larger for longer bookings. Pay it only through the channels she names on her profile or in her reply. Pressure to pay in unusual ways is a classic scam sign.

Minimum booking

The shortest booking she takes. Often an hour; longer for duos, couples or outcalls.

Cancellation policy

What happens if you cancel late. Many companions keep the deposit for late cancellations. Read it before you book.

"Donation"

Some older ads call the rate a "donation", a hangover from stricter laws. It is a rate. Treat it as one.

ID-verified

On LuXeel, every profile is set up by the person in it and reviewed by a member of the team before it goes live, and some creators also carry an ID-verified badge.

Who you are booking

Independent

A companion who runs her own business: her own profile, her own bookings, screening, rates and deposits. You deal with her directly. LuXeel profiles are independents, and LuXeel takes no fee on bookings.

Agency

A business that advertises several companions and takes bookings on their behalf. You deal with a booker, not the companion, until you meet.

Brothel

Premises where several workers see clients, run as a business. Where brothels are lawful depends on the state. Our brothels page lists venues.

Private

A term used in parts of Australia for a worker who works independently, often from a private incall.

Companion, escort, sex worker, provider

Mostly interchangeable, with different shades. "Companion" leans towards longer, social bookings; "escort" and "provider" are common directory terms; "sex worker" is the term the industry's own organisations use. Use whatever she uses.

About the coded acronyms

If you have spent any time on older escort sites, you will have seen strings of capital letters standing for specific acts. They exist, and a whole shorthand grew up around them. We are not going to list them, for three reasons:

  • Many describe unprotected practices that carry real sexual-health risks, and advertising rules in parts of Australia have long restricted how services can be described.
  • They turn a person into a menu. Sending a companion a list of acronyms reads like a shopping list, and many will simply not reply.
  • They are imprecise. The same letters mean different things to different people, which is exactly how misunderstandings happen.

On LuXeel, companions describe what a booking with them is like in plain words, in their own bio. Read it. If something matters to you and it is not mentioned, ask once, politely, in plain language, and accept the answer. Protection is standard; our sexual health guide explains testing and how to talk about it.

A word on the law

Whether a given type of booking is lawful depends on the state or territory you are in. Sex work is decriminalised in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory, regulated in the ACT, mixed in Tasmania and criminalised in South Australia and Western Australia. Our state-by-state guide explains what that means; check the current law where you are.

Common questions

What does PSE mean? Porn-star experience: a bold, high-energy, more performative style of booking. It is still entirely within the companion's boundaries and health rules, and not every companion offers it.

What is the difference between GFE and PSE? GFE is slow, affectionate and intimate, like time with a partner. PSE is more adventurous and theatrical. Both describe a feel, not a list of acts.

What does incall mean? You go to the companion's place: her apartment, studio or a hotel room she has booked. Outcall means she comes to you.

What does touring mean on an escort profile? She is visiting a city other than her home base for a few days. Book ahead; tour dates fill quickly.

What does FIFO-friendly mean? She is happy to work around fly-in fly-out rosters, such as booking ahead for your days off.

Why don't LuXeel profiles use acronyms? Because plain words are clearer, safer and more respectful. Companions describe what they offer in their own words, and you can ask about anything that matters to you.
