How the LuXeel Community works: free chat, groups, stories and more

What the LuXeel Community is (a free social network for adults), what it is not (a dating app, a paid site), what you can do in it, how creators use it, and how the one login connects it to the directory.

LuXeel is two things that share one login. The directory is where you find companions, venues and events in your city. The Community is where people talk: a social network for adults, free to join, with a feed, private messages, groups, stories and events. This guide explains the Community: what it is, what it is not, and what you can do once you are in.

What it is

A social network, in the familiar sense: you have a profile, you post to a feed, you follow people, you message them privately, you join groups around things you care about, you post stories that disappear after a day, and you see events near you. It runs on the same software family as many community sites and will feel immediately familiar.

What makes it different is who it is for. It is for adults, and it is frank about adult life: companions and creators post there openly, venues and events are listed without euphemism, and the conversations are the ones people have when they are not worried about who is watching. It is moderated, it has rules, and it is not a free-for-all; but it does not pretend its members are not grown-ups.

What it is not

  • It is not a paid site. Joining is free. There is no card, no subscription and no fee to post, message, join groups or attend events. Creators can offer paid memberships and accept tips inside it, which is how they earn; you choose whether to pay anyone, ever.
  • It is not a dating app. There is no swiping, no matching and no algorithm deciding who you see. People meet because they talk.
  • It is not the directory. Bookings with companions happen through their directory profiles, with their own screening and terms. The Community is where you get to know people first, or just enjoy the company.

What you can do

The feed. Posts from people and groups you follow, plus what is popular. Text, photos and video. The feed is where creators announce touring dates and new content, where venues post what is on, and where ordinary members talk about their week.

Private chat. Direct messages with anyone who accepts them. This is where most of the real conversation happens: the people you meet in a group thread, the creator whose posts you enjoy, the person who commented on your photo.

Groups. Communities within the community: by city, by interest, by kind of night out. A group has its own feed and its own members, and it is the fastest way to find people who want to talk about what you want to talk about. Anyone can start one.

Stories. Photos and short clips that disappear after 24 hours. Lower stakes than a post, and where a lot of the day-to-day life of the Community happens.

Events. What is on, where, and who is going. Venues and members both list them; you can say you are attending and see who else is.

Following creators. Companions and content creators have Community pages where they post publicly. Following is free. Some also offer a paid membership for closer access (members-only posts, priority messages), and pay-to-unlock posts; those are clearly marked and entirely optional.

Tipping. If a creator has made your day, you can tip from a wallet you top up. Tips are instant and the creator keeps them. Nobody is ever asked to tip.

For creators

If you are listed on the LuXeel directory, your Community page is created with it, under the same username. Posting there regularly is the single best thing you can do for your directory profile: it keeps you in front of the people who have already found you, it gives members a reason to follow and subscribe, and daily posting earns visibility boosts in your city's listing. Our guide for creators on where to advertise explains how the two sides work together.

One login, both sides

Join once, on either side, and you have an account on both. Your username, name and email stay in sync. A member who finds a companion on the directory can follow her in the Community without a second sign-up; a Community member who wants to book can move to the directory with the same login. Neither side reads the other's private messages.

Rules and safety

The Community is moderated by people. The rules are the ones you would expect of a grown-up place: adults only, consent in everything, no harassment, no doxxing, no sharing of anyone's private images or details, nothing illegal. Reports are read and acted on. Members who break the rules are removed, and the directory and Community share that decision.

For your own safety, the usual advice applies: keep your legal name and address to yourself, do not send money to anyone who asks for it in a message, and treat anyone who creates urgency as a reason to pause. Our privacy guide and scams guide have the detail.

Getting started

  1. Join free, with an email address and a password. You will be asked to confirm you are an adult.
  2. Set up a profile with a username and a photo (it does not have to be your face).
  3. Join a group or two. Start with your city.
  4. Follow a few people whose posts you like. Creators, venues, members.
  5. Post something. A story is the easiest first step.
  6. Reply to someone. That is where it starts.

Common questions

Is the Community really free?

Yes. Joining, posting, messaging, groups, stories and events are free. The only money that moves is money you choose to spend on a creator's membership, an unlockable post or a tip.

Do I have to use my real name?

No. A username is enough, and you choose what photo to show. Your email is private.

Can I use the Community without the directory?

Yes. Many members never book anyone; they are there for the company. The login works on the directory if you ever want it.

Is it a dating site?

No. People meet people, and some of them go on to meet in person, but there is no matching system and nobody is there to be matched. It is a place to talk.

Who sees my posts?

Whoever you choose. Posts can be public, for followers only, or (for creators) for paying members only. Private messages are private.
